Privacy

The short version: no accounts, no tracking, no advertising, and no cookies. The Thing I Need doesn't collect personal information or build a profile of you.
What stays on your device
A few widgets save data locally in your browser (using localStorage) so it's there when you come back. This never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it:
- Notepad — the text you type
- World clock — the cities you add
Things that talk to others
- Translator — text you ask to translate is sent to the free MyMemory translation API to get the result back. Don't paste anything sensitive.
- Sound level meter — uses your microphone only while it's running, to estimate loudness. Audio is processed live in your browser and is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability, as is normal for any website.
